The Maryland Senate Budget and Taxation Committee is proposing freezing the salaries of Maryland judges for one year. [Maryland Daily Record]

Two state senators propose bills that would allow nonprofits throughout Maryland to operate up to five slot machines. The machines “could only be played by members of the operating organizations, not the general public.” [Capital News Service]

A higher percentage of Maryland high school seniors pass at least one Advance Placement exam than any other state in the country. [Washington Post]
